Rule #1. Stop Killing Myself

We kill ourselves with what we eat.
Candida is attracted to sugars and carbohydrates. Now that I look back on my life, I believe I may have contracted Candida when I started becoming a vegetarian. I mistakenly believed that as long as I didn't eat meat that would make me healthy. I made up for the lack of meat by eating more starchy foods, breads, and sweets. Well they say, the road to hell is paved with good intentions. Maybe that statement is also true of our diets. After reading it became clear to me that I had to change my diet somewhat to at least stop the Candida from accelerating.

Most of the books I read recommend eating plain yogurt, because of the good bacertia. I found for myself that any dairy product is harmful to me. Many books say bread without yeast is okay, or toasted bread is okay. I found for myself that no bread of any kind is beneficial for me. Many books also say it is okay to eat meat; in fact many books recommend meat based on your blood type. I prefer not to eat meat. Eating meat has no effect on the Candida for me; however I prefer not to eat it. I eat fish (mostly Salmon) instead.

I like eating beans (particularly navy beans), however due to excess bloating it is clear to me that I must stop eating beans.Diets are restrictive; however I can't loose focus of Rule #1...Stop Killing Myself.A discussion forum with articles regarding Candida and Fungus Infections. The Yeast Infection Syndrome Forum atYeast and Fungus Forum
